Group counseling brings a unique dynamic to the counseling process in which 5-10 individuals meet together in the company of a trained therapist. This unique experience allows group members to participate in personal growth while gaining insight, support, and feedback from their fellow group members in a safe and confidential environment.
Counseling groups are designed for individuals experiencing a shared specific issue such as:
Grief/Loss Addiction/Recovery Eating Disorders
Counseling groups may also be targeted to a specific group of individuals sharing common qualities such as:
Women Parents Students
Groups will be organized as a need and interest is identified, and will usually meet on a weekly basis for a set period of time (10-15 weeks). Interested individuals will be screened as a prerequisite to offer a clear understanding of group counseling and to ensure the group will be comprised of appropriate individuals.
